The Red Scare has scripts for which action/cheer to do for each opponent free throw attempt. I think those should be passed out to the entire lower arena.

They went 32-35 from the FT line in the game in Richmond.
Read that again: they made 32 free throws while scoring 73 points.
I want to destroy them like URI did last weekend. But since we are UD, I expect it to be down to the wire. It's not fun unless the fanbase is suffering, seems like.

Potential bad news: Midterm break started after classes on Wednesday (3/5/14). Classes resume on Monday.
Good News: The players don't have classes, so they can focus on Saturday.

Richmond still has a shot at the dance, they will most likely be hungry, especially if they win tonight. Don't overlook them!!!
I looked, and if Richmond wins their final 2 regular season games plus 2 a10 tourney wins, then I think they are in.

As someone said, students are on break. It's like the third year in a row senior day/night has landed during break.

Nope, their best guard is out for the year, and one of their forwards quit the team.

Just an FYI - Hall of Fame night is also Sat. (bad choice in my opinion to have it on Senior Night)
Christi Hester Mack is one of the inductees. Her husband will be in attendance along with her children and parents. I hope she receives a cordial reception and that her husband is not heckled by the fans (better to just ignore, we can save the heckling for the First Four!). Let's keep the focus on our team and our seniors and do nothing to mar their Senior Night. GO FLYERS!!

Is it improper to announce her name as just "Christi Hester"? That is how she is listed in all of the record books. And in the event that things didn't work out with Mack, I doubt she would want that last name forever preserved in UD's Hall of Fame.
Just saying....

Christi
Lifelong FF, that's the first thing I thought of when I saw Christi Hester's name in the DDN this morning. She's still a Flyer in spite of her being married to the guy we love to hate. I'm praying no renegade "fan" dishonors UD by bad behavior when she is introduced with her family. Nothing should take away from her accomplishments as a player.
I'll be there with my red "uniform", cheering my heart out for our guys to beat UR.
Fortunately, my heart is still beating after last night, lol.

Back to senior night...
I think it's a coin toss as to when to recognize the senior players (before or after the game). It's been prior to the game since I began attending "way back when (late 60's)". However, I think they get a little short-changed by doing this. I realize you run the risk of dealing with a loss THEN honoring the seniors, which can be rough. But at schools that do it after the game, some allow the players to say a few words, which is pretty cool.
I guess my concern tomorrow is having the ceremony prior to the game, with the families out there and the emotions that go with it, then saying: "go get 'em boys, we need this game like no other!"

Honor them before and send them into the stands after...
The year Chris Wright was a junior or senior the team immediately went into the stands to roam around and thank the fans for their support, take pictures, give autographs, etc... As a parent it was my favorite Flyer moment ever as I had all 3 products of my loins in tow...
Honoring them before the game gives them the opportunity to head into the stands, if they so choose. And the way the season has ended, another win will have everyone on their feet...sending all the players into the stands would be appropriate, appreciated and great PR headed into the A10 tournament.

Remember it like it was yesterday. I think that was at BG's urging and the "our team, our town" theme. Agree, if the ending is what we're hoping for and expecting, they should repeat it tomorrow night. Of course, Archie isn't the touchy-feely type, so may have to come from the players...i.e., DMO.

Did you hear the announcers discuss how Archie got his nickname? He got his nickname from Archie Bunker (All in the Family sitcom) cause he was so grouchy most of the time.

I heard that too. Explains alot. He's a tough guy to even get a chuckle out of. Taping the Sunday TV show must be like a trip to the dentist for Hartsock.
