Important minutes here from Scott and Pollard with 2 starters having 4 fouls. Oliver has been great tonight.

Reminds me a lot of how UD played under Purnell. Patient, know what you want on a possession, and value the ball. Doesn't always happen but it happens a lot.

Weak fade away hook from Scott. He needs to go vertical, not backwards.

Not a knock on Pierre at all, but I'm switching my vote to Sibert for best player on the team. If Pierre starts showing up like we know he can, we just might have our 2 all-conference players. If Oliver plays at a level just a notch above where he is now, we might get 3. And we'll probably win the conference, too.

Free throws and second-chance points are our defensive Achilles heels right now. It's what's allowed Baylor to close the gap.

I get slowing things down a bit or at least being patient while searching for a good shot, but the offense seems a bit more stationary the last few minutes. The ball movement, motion, cutting, etc. don't seem as crisp lately.

Robinson is the only guy on the team who boxes out with any consistency, and he can't seem to get PT in the second half.

I hate to say it, but Scott cost us the game.
So so close

What a sack punch. That would have been a very nice scalp, plus the missed opportunity of playing Syracuse.

Like I said, Scott's missed layup gave Baylor a fighting chance. This sucks balls.

Ouch. This one hurts. Had 'em all the way and could not seal the deal. Scott was AWOL down low and missed a few bunnies that hurt our momentum. Baylor just ate him up.
Would have loved to face Boeheim tomorrow, my least favorite coach of all-time...

Dang, ntough matchup, too much size and athleticism down low, limited UD dribble penetration

Blocking out and defensive glass issues killed UD in the second. Not sure I would have drawn something up for Vee on that one. Lots of hotter options tonight IMO. Let this one get away. Time to watch some tape and do defensive footwork drills for the bigs.

That was a major league choke by the Flyers. Still has a chance to salvage a 2-1 by beating Cal, but that wont be an easy feat. Lead the whole game and lose in the last few seconds; nauseating.....

Why run that play for V? He has missed that shot more times than he has made it in his UD career. Should have run something for Sibert or Oliver, not V. He isn't clutch.

Thought we had the back breaker when Baylor fell asleep on the lob to DMO with 1 sec on the shot clock. But we gave up a couple of bunnies inside. The final difference turned out to be a couple of bounces that went Baylor's way. Moral victories suck but I'm very encouraged by what I've seen in 2 games. The luster fades, though, if they can't finish the job in Maui and beat Cal.

I think it was a penetrate and pitch opportunity but BU did a good job of not leaving their man.

Their big men are much better than ours. Scott's missed bunny was big. His man also got the offensive rebound on the go ahead basket.

Please, no points in the last 4 minutes of the 1st half hurt more than Scott's missed shot

Actually Scott's miss was a 4 point swing in which Baylor got a huge dunk to cut into the lead and after that play they REALLY seemed to play with more energy. I honestly think that UD would've kept pouring it on had Scott hit that.

Tough, tough loss, I agree, but I love the way we're playing overall. Shooting in the last 50 minutes or so of playing time has been awesome.
I'm liking the way these guys are coming together.

I'm still sitting here stunned that we lost. Baylor stole this game. We outplayed them for 38 minutes of the game. Physically sick

Rebounding rebounding rebounding. Baylor got points of some kind on nearly every offensive possession of the last 12 minutes. Somehow, some way, they scored almost every trip up the floor. Thats what did us in. Our defense went south and became too soft for dribble penetration, and then we gave up offensive rebounds on just about every missed shot.
We just lose the rebounding battle by 5 fewer rebounds and we probably win by 10-15pts. Changes entire complexion of the game.
Tough way to lose, but we needed this lesson. Our bigs gotta flat out box out better and rebound. I know guards gotta rebound too, but we cannot keep expecting Khari Price or Devin Oliver to outjump a 6-10 center for a ricochet off the rim.

Yep. Bigs have got to move their feet, maintain contact with their man, and put their butt into their guy. If you don't get the board outright you often pick up a foul. It's a shame to because Price really worked his butt off on that D. Everything was correct. Except the big took a nap. Read somewhere it was Scott's man. Not sure. Either way down the stretch UD gave up way too much in that exact manner. Just asleep down low.

True. And DMO's fourth foul with around 11 minutes to go didn't help us much either.
But we still could've outscored 'em. This team has several offensive weapons now that have been running on all cylinders, but it seems like we took the shot clock all the way down nearly every possession in the final ten minutes. We got lucky a few times when DMO made that inbound lob shot with one second on the shot clock and then he drained a trey with one second on the shot clock.
Our rebounding and interior defense cost us, but we could have scored more than 67 points...

Alot of you need to come back off the ledge. The Flyers are a very good team. We outplayed them for 39 minutes and if Vee's shot or DMO's tip go in everyone would be saying how great we were. It's a long season and there will be other ups and downs but this is very encouraging. This team and play with and beat anyone, and they know it.
