NBA draft age and no SRO at UD Arena
NBA is suggesting lowering the eligible age to be drafted from 19 to 18. I say do away with any age requirement. If HS player is talented enough and parents think it is best for player and the family, let him be drafted as a HS junior, etc. You set it at 18, sure enough a kid/family will challenge it if not allowed to be drafted at 17.
Many sites sell SRO seats when sold out. Curious your ideas why they don't at UD Arena.

The NBA rule had nothing to do with well being of the player. It was the players union not wanting to see the young guys that had not proven anything get the big bucks.

And the owners not wanting to be embarrassed by the fans insisting they draft someone who is a bad bet, and then that kid turning out to be a LeBron. Safer to just wait and see than be embarrassed by wasting a draft pick (or passing and being Sam Bowie to MJ).

The concourses at UD Arena aren't really conducive to SRO, and the updated/east side of arena is even more of a cluster wrt traffic flow. UD usually gets it right when it comes to the arena, IMO they failed in laying out the traffic pattern, concession, and restroom locations/size for the upgrade. My seats are on the " ghetto" side (unfinished) and I treasure every remaining game for the ease of movement to/from my seats (200 level) to concessions and restrooms, especially after hearing so many complaints from those on the east side.

Technically, section 407 is ALWAYS empty. I believe this is the overflow for the student section. Those seats are considered "sold" by UD, thus the announced sellouts. UD could easily sell those seats from the top down and in effect oversell or double sell those seats. The only time those seats are actually full are when a top ten team comes in, or Zavier.

If the student ticket system is the same as it was 15 years ago they should revamp it. We'd get season tickets an go to like 3 games. They should force the students to 'check-in' online, say 2 days before the game otherwise the tickets can be resold.
The technology is there to easily handle the current situation. The student's still get every opportunity to get tickets and go, but they'll be a clear picture of who is showing up and who isn't so those areas can be sold or used as upgrades from higher levels.
