Student Buses

With all of the criticism hurled at the students recently for lack of support I was wondering if any one knows how many buses the University uses to get students to and from the games. Any one know? Also, how is construction coming on the new bridge and when is it scheduled to be reopened? Thanks for any input.

Based on the attendance from the students for the Wofford game the busses must have gotten some new engines, seem to be running just fine.

I believe that is correct. I think it closed in June and is scheduled to be closed for about 18 months.

lilrudy4787 will become famous soon enough
As well as the buses that run from G-Lot in campus to the Arena. Bdubs has now also started to run busing. Which allows for all of the students in the ghetto to get transportation as well.

Grand opening is scheduled for December, 2009. Here are some photos of the construction.

They usually run out the east exit. I have seen 4 buses lined up ready to depart at each game.

There are four buses I believe, but for returning back to campus, one of those buses is for the band.

For the Wofford game, I think there were only two busses for students to go to the game. There may have been three. Going back, there were two for the first trip of students and one for just the band. Then all three came back for the next round. Regardless, I don't think there were enough because it was tough to get everybody on and people were left waiting 30+ minutes in the G Lot because the busses were full and had to wait for their return.

Huh

So for approximately 1200 students there are three or four buses to get student back to campus after the game. I realize many students may drive over in their own vehicles but that seems way low to me. Back in the day if we missed the first round of buses we'd walk but with the bridge out thats not an option. It doesn't sound like administration is making it too easy on the students. I say we build a new arena on the campus side of the river.
