Thumbs up At the half way point !

It hasn't been easy, but we have postured ourselves to attack the second half of our schedule, and then on to the A10 Championship Tournament.

We would like to have a do-over of the Nebraska and Northwestern games, but we have made up for those in part by good wins over Vanderbilt and LaSalle, and a solid road win over the Bonnies.

We are concerned about out streaky shooting (Archie too), but we are currently sitting nicely at the top of the A10 for 3pt shooting at 37% with St B and LaSalle.

Also we are in a virtual tie with VCU in overall FG % at 47%.

So what's the shooting issue? Consistency more than anything. We padded our stats with the VMI and St B beat downs. The good news is those were recent and reflect the direction we may be headed with our shooting.

But in the end, our team knows when we are not shooting well, defense wins Championships.

Most importantly, we are now sitting at #23 in RPI, right behind UCLA and St Mary's. And #27 in SOS.

We need to focus on the A10 and everything will take care of itself. If you look at the overall W/L records of the A10 teams, Dayton and VCU are beginning to separate themselves as the class of the league.

Life is good right now, and we are buying precious time for injured players to heal.

Just stay on course to the 14-4 goal in conference and 2 A10 wins and they will dance.

I am absolutely amazed at
12-3 w/o Big Steve, Cunningham,
KP 6 games, CC 3 games and Kostas.
Great "team" players, great
coaching AM.

Flyers Doing Very Well

At this stage they are one win behind my season prediction. I had them going 25-5 and they are on pace for 24-6. This is remarkable with JC and CC injured.

Get Josh some spot minutes at the very end of the regular season ramp him up to 15-20 in Pittsburgh and hopefully he can give 20-30 in March.

Still a longshot but he is committed and determined to the process

......one step further, without injuries and missing players mentioned above I say we are undefeated at this time and in Top 10.

If we put together a great finish to the regular season, I'm not sure you want to mess with the minutes that much in March with a player coming off very little playing time. Hard to believe Josh could get up to everyone else's speed, timing and physicality in that short amount of time. I think, barring unforeseen injuires, you use Josh to give breathers to other players and wait until next season to get him back to starter minutes.

I wouldn't take it that far. Beat Nebraska and you face two tougher teams

Beating UCLA would have been a challenge

Def some wisdom to that. But Cunningham Is/Can be a star. If he can go, he goes...as least to me
