During the Atlantic 10 schedule, the Flyers will have two games on ESPN2, eight on the CBS Sports Network, three on NBC Sports, two on Stadium and two on ESPN+.
Two games for the Flyers – Dec. 23 with Grambling and March 7 with George Washington – are TBD, but at minimum they will be streamed on ESPN+.

Is there an easy way for out of state fans to watch the Spectrum News 1 games? Here in Kansas City our Spectrum sports is all Kansas and K-State games.

The release seems to indicate that a viewer in the Spectrum viewing area will not be able to see the games on ESPN+. That was not the case last year. Spectrum games were also available on ESPN+ in the Ohio Spectrum viewing area. Anyone know for sure what it is this year?

I just looked and ESPN+ is streaming our first three games; Indiana State, Charleston Southern and Nebraska Omaha. I didn't look any further in the schedule, however, I believe that ESPN+ will be airing the other games. You can check the ESPN+ schedule online.

Wish they would drop Spectrum altogether since it is only available to traditional cable subscribers. At least they are all home games which I'll probably be at anyway.

I think the games on Spectrum 1 can only be viewed in the Dayton - Cincinnati area
Last year I was in another part of the sate on the night on a Spectrum 1 game and it was not available

If I recall correctly we had this same conversation last year.
No it does not show on mine either, yet.

Use ESPN+.
Was $7 / month last year. Can cancel at the end of the season. Games are usually on for about a week.

Looking at Columbus, it appears we are not scheduled to get the Dayton game on spectrum. looks like it’s Larry and Bucky for me. I may have a little one joining my family in the next few months, so, I’m thinking about just taking the dive into Disney+ which launch is next week and offers ESPN plus as a Sidecar.

I'm not sure how it will work but I received a text from Verizon that they will be giving me 1 year of Disney+ free for one year. I just checked and Disney+ is going to be $6.99/month. ESPN+ and Hulu can be added for $4.99/month. I will be curious to see if I can add ESPN+ and Hulu to my free Disney+ for $4.99/mo.

I got my ESPN+ subscription working. Here is my lesson learned. I hope it helps.
I tried to activate my ESPN+ account using my Apple iPhone. The web site took all of my information but kept giving me an error message in red saying”something is wrong, try again.” I called the ESPN hot line and was told that instead of using the iPhone with Safari that I should switch to Google Chrome. The ESPN web site works best with Google Chrome. I switched to my desktop with Google Chrome and had no problem. I went back to my TV and selected ESPN+. The TV gave me a code. I went to espn.com/activate, entered the code and my device (TV) was activated and ESPN+ was working.
I’m all set.

That is being generous. Its the equivalent of cable access. Sinclair games should be on it, not UD games.
For anyone who subscribed to ESPN+ (WatchESPN) last year, were the games on "Spectrum/TWC Sports" blacked out in the Dayton area?

For those looking for the game on the Spectrum schedule, I looked again today, 11-8 at 4:45, and it's showing so I set it to record, plus an extra half hour in case the game runs over 2 hours. I'll be at the game, but I like to re-watch games when we win.

FYI, I have Spectrum (Dayton) and had to buy "Tier 1" to see CBS Sports network. I will now pay an additional $12.95? a month more for it. Included in the monthly fee is ESPNU.

Do you actually have a link for ESPN+ or is it just listed as ESPN+ on the schedule? I see it marked ESPN+ next to the game, where one would go to see the score but it is not listed in the available games on the ESPN+ schedule.

After using the search function on ESPN+ it is showing “This event has not yet started” - and, “Begins on Saturday, November 09 at 7:00 PM”. I guess we’ll have to see. Larry and Bucky is a good fallback.

I believe that last year the games were only blacked out in the Dayton (maybe Cincinnati too) area. I was able to get ESPN+ games in NE Ohio and I don't have Spectrum. We'll see.

Will a VPN work and reroute you or will ESPN+ just go by your account location?

I was going to suggest a VPN. It works for streaming services like Netflix.
If you're going to use a VPN and a smartphone, it might not work unless you have GPS turned off.

this article from only a few months ago suggests that using a VPN with ESPN+ works to circumvent geographic restrictions.

I was in Tulsa this morning, now in Phoenix. Neither place had the UD game on ESPN+. Called ESPN+ customer service and they’re stumped. I don’t believe it’s a geographic thing, I think it’s the same shoddy broadcast partner problem we’ve had for years.
Anyone have contact info for someone at UD who can look into this? I have no use for ESPN+ and the associated $5/month fee to use if I can’t watch the Flyers..

This says that spectrum already picked up the other non-conference game. It indicates that the games are only shown on Spectrum in Dayton and Cincy. That means even if you are a Spectrum customer in NE Ohio, there is no way for you to get the games - either on Spectrum of ESPN+

Why in the world would I sign up for ESPN+ then!? You pay five bucks a month to get blacked out?
And I have Spectrum Internet with Roku! (not cable!)

Currently in Southern Kentucky and ESPN plus does not show the Flyers as an option. I am trying to create a new account to see if by chance they think I am in Ohio where computer is most of the time, but so far no luck as ESPN website painfully slow, but no problems with other websites. I click the watch link at DaytonFlyers.com and get a page not found error message. Someone needs to get their **** together.

Actually found the game listed on ESPN Plus, only after doing a search for anything related to DAYTON on ESPN. It is the last game shown of 13 events.

I'd be okay with 1 camera up in the 400s showing the game. If this truly is the situation the everyone nationally is prevented from getting the game on ESPN+ because Spectrum is dictating that, I'd say someone at UD has some splainin to do. What could UD be getting that would make this deal worthwhile? You're ****ing off a big part of your alumni fan base.

When I go on the ESPN site and to +, then put in Indiana State in search, it shows the game at 7:00 and not yet started.

I am in Florida and have searched ESPN+ every way but Sunday and I do not see this game listed. The link from daytonflyers.com for watching takes me to a page where it says I must have a wrong page.
Geez. This is frustrating and very very irritating.

I found it by searching for Indiana State.
How far have we fallen where we are back to streaming? I long for the days of CBSS or NBCS or FOXS1.
This is brutal.

I'm in the Dayton area and I'm watching it on ESPN+ now. I didn't see it in the main listing, but went under A10 conference and there it was.

I finally got it to load through my Xbox. Never got it on my phone or my browser, with or without a VPN.

It should not be this difficult. I spent and hour and a half early this morning testing my espn+ connection. Updayed the app and thought I would be good come 7pm. Alas, it was not so. After ten minutes of fuggin with the dern thing I fired up Larry and Bucky. After reading this thread for the 30th time I tried ESPN+ again and finally got the game. Way too much friggin around jist to watch the game!!!

I still don’t get it. The game will only work if I play it through my roku. TVs, phones, I pads. Nothing works except my roku player....

Seriously everyone make sure you let UD and ESPN+ know of your headache. This is the only way the issue will not reoccur in the future.

For me it worked by going to the ISU website on my computer and using their link. I did check later and was able to get it on my Roku tv.

That's way bogus!
So it looks someone deleted their post.
RamodWaleskowski - What did you source say about the games not being blacked out in Ohio?
