For anyone that missed it, here's Kostas' "debut"

James Rider‏ @JamesRRider 16h16 hours ago

Here's the first look at Kostas Antetokounmpo (@Kostas_ante34) and his first two buckets. The and one dunk is nice. He's gonna be good.

Heck of a way to debut, even though it was an exhibition game!

It was a good start for Kostas... especially considering what he has been through lately (with his father passing, and his knee injury).

While the sky is the limit for this young man, lets temper some of our expectations... the kid he postered in the video looked like he would struggle to make UD's team as a walk-on.

And for those who said he could play point... you can forget that noise.

Excellent rim protector - loved when came out and blocked the guys jump shot too!

Loved how he imitated his brother after that dunk:

There will be plenty of growing pains but he's going to be a good one

According to reports he is a good passer. Doesn't have to play point guard as he
can pass off the wing.

He wasn’t,t passing last night. Took the bad shot. If he can’t get off the contact he needs to pass

And his second shot was a 3 foot airball when he was 6 feet from the rim.

Amazing upside for this kid, looking forward to experiencing all of it. He's certainly NOT a 1-and-done. 2? Maybe. 3? Would not be at all surprised.

I won't pretend to be a talent elevator (at least not on this post) but I've posted prior and continue to wonder how Giannis' impending free agency might affect the draft status of Kostas in a couple of seasons. Would a team draft Kostas when they otherwise wouldn't, or draft him in the first round when they believe he's a 2nd round talent in hopes that will persuade his brother to join their team in free agency? Would the Bucks draft him as a good will gesture to Giannis? Seems like NBA teams place little value in their 2nd round picks every season; makes me wonder, either way I'm excited to see him develop/grow as a player under CAG.

A huge concern - his legs are very skinny and don't match his upper body. Unfortunately, not a lot can be done about it. Hoping he doesn't have Sam Bowie legs.

Kostas is not Giannis and probably never will be - not many players ever will be. I just hope he doesn't continually try and do things he is incapable of doing and instead plays within himself and his capabilities.
