I was wrong!!! I hate being wrong!!!
But not in this case. I bow to the folks who kept telling me to calm down the Flyers are in. I really didn't believe that 6 A10 teams would make it. I'm shocked.
And as far as X is concerned, they will have to win 2 games before they open their traps. If they don't beat NCST, then they can't win a playin game, if they can't beat SL, they can't beat the A10.
Oh, and let's beat the Buckeyes and play against the team we should've been playing a day before Thanksgiving.

Don't fret. Many on this board listen to the likes of that tool Lunardi. Others of us use common sense and real math.
Just read my posts and repeat. It's the safest approach. I called a 10 seed. As far as I'm concerned, our 11 is really a case of moving down a slot for better game location. We are really the 4th 10.

Looking at BYU on the 10 line, I happen to agree with you. BYU is out west.

I'm right there witch-ya Smitty. As a matter of fact, I believe I owe Beatytown dinner and beers at Tanks when I get into town; the best bet I ever lost! I'll be out there the week of July 7th, BTW.

Can anyone share how far off Lunardi was? For instance, he had us in the play in.

I plan to do the analysis and see. I am also planning to look at Palm and the Dance Card.

Initial Analysis - Seeding analysis will take longer.
Using their Sunday morning brackets :
Lunardi, Palm, and Dance Card all missed having NC State in the tourney. From what I can tell, this was the only team they missed.
Last four in (for Dance Card, I used the lowest 4 teams they had in).
Lunardi - Xavier - missed the other 3
Palm - Xavier and Tennessee, missed the other 2
Dance Card- Iowa - missed the other 3
Will look at seeding next, which will only be Lunardi and Palm

I really sense that the Selection Committee brought their "A" game as far as objectivity in this years selections. There were a number of public pressure points that could have side-tracked true objectivity. To name a few, there was Mack stumping, Coach K embarrassing himself, Providence coming out of the ashes to claim a trophy, SMU with some good credentials and star power with Larry Brown. In our case we were riding an excellent road- win/neutral record of 10-6 and the Selection Committee at one point made those two metrics a point of emphasis. In God we trust, all others bring data.
We did our part and gave the SC the data they needed, and to their credit they walked the talk and accepted a 6th team from the A10. There were many decades in the past where those same credentials would have been ignored.

I don't wish evil on anyone, but it would be OK if Coach K gets further embarrassed as things progress in the tournament.
GO A10.

That's Not Evil! Just good spirited fun! Okay, definition of "Good" open to interpretation, but no evil involved.

There's a difference CJ. I said I hate being wrong and that's true. That's different from admitting I'm wrong, when I know I'm right.
