Davidson vs Charlotte tonight
It will be interesting to see how old A10 matches up with new A10....
49ers are off to a bad start this season and I see them getting shut down by Davidson...
Thoughts on the match up or more importantly the conference realignment?

I am not sure what happened to Charlotte. They used to be really good back in the old Conference USA. They haven't been the same since they left the old CUSA.
10 NCAA appearances from 1988 to 2005. Haven't made the tournament since 2005.

Ended with 41. First Davidson player to ever score 40 in a game.

Davidson coach McKillop got his 500th career victory the other day. Congratulations to him.
http://espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=400844225:
McKillop is 500-300 in 27 years, all at Davidson. He became the 19th coach to win 500 games in his first collegiate head-coaching job.
The Wildcats are off to a 4-0 start for the first time in McKillop's tenure.

I recall being pretty happy about the fact that Gibbs was going to be out against Dayton last year. A lot of good that did us...

Having attended the Flyer games in Charlotte while they were in the A-10, I always felt somewhat bad for them for making the jump they did. They had all of these banners hanging in the rafters showing their success during that run, but were never able to compete in the A-10 for whatever reasons. Just another case of where the grass on the other side of the fence actually only looks greener...

FTFY.
They were very productive in other olympic sports while in the A10. If the Commissioner's Cup was active, they would have won a few. 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12, and 2012-13. They then left the A10 for CUSA. (I don't have full standings right now prior to 2009-10...one day...)
Cross Country, Tennis, Indoor and Outdoor track and Baseball seem to have been their "ringers" in the A10.
But, for men's basketball they were low to middle of the pack, and never amassed to much there.
I know, I know...noone cares about non-men's basketball sports, therefore, I should just keep my mouth shut. But, not even the self-proclaimed King can manage that.
