What will the 2020 Presidential election look like?

There is a lot of ground to cover before then, but I have been trying to imagine what the Democratic party will put forth as their platform and candidate.

I think we have a pretty good idea of what Trump's policy is by now. It's not clear yet what kind of position he will be in due to his level of success in executing that policy, but he has a straightforward policy that he has stayed consistent with. We know what he wants.

What does the Democratic party want? What kind of candidate will they put forward? Single payer health care? Open borders? New restrictions on energy development? Bernie Sanders? Will he run on a platform of Socialism? Taxpayer funding of college for everyone? Sanctuary nation instead of sanctuary cities? What is the Democratic party platform? Is there something that they can run on besides "Trump is Hitler"?

Right now, it seems they are poised to further to the left. The far leftists seem to be taking control of the party. It seems like it would be hard for the Democratic establishment to pull another fast one by having the DNC undermine the Bernie Campaign behind the scenes like they did last cycle. It's become too public now. It would be hard to repeat it without getting called out.
