No reason to take it down or close it. You weren't the only person who was critical of him and most of the criticism was fair. The thread has now turned into a place for people to compliment his improvement. As long as people are fair and are willing to point out when he does good things threads like these are fine.

LOL, who knows, maybe these type of threads help put a little fire under said player's butt. Too many time's we're proven wrong to give up on a player. Is it Archie or is it us?

I don't think it was this thread that lit a fire under Crosby, but who knows for sure. In the article Archdeacon wrote it was mentioned Crosby read some stuff from some "haters" which I think were people on twitter. JC went as far as to DM one of the guys who writes for the Blackburn Review who was critical of him telling him that he would prove him wrong. I'm sure the critical tweets (which were the same things people on this site were saying) found their way into JC's twitter feed at some point.

All the players read UDPride. Some hang on every word. Except Joey. Joey's going to be a coach and come back and coach the Flyers when Archie retires in a couple decades. Archie has already taught him to ignore the press...and UDPride..

Aldridge was not a good matchup for anyone in the first half last night. He was on fire. Pollard got him in the second half when he was wore out. His legs and speed went in the last 10 minutes. Crazy that coach never rested him for a few minutes.

Very telling that a dog tired Aldridge and Gibbs was the best option McKillop had. Can only play the cards you're dealt. That bench is awful. Still, odd that they didn't even pull for a minute or so of game clock to combine with a media timeout once or twice.

I agree. Inexcusable to not have anyone on the bench to give your guys a breather. OP used Fitz effectively - stayed n as long as the game remained about the same. I can't believe Davidson can't afford their guys a breather. Their coach failed here.

Monday morning quarterbacking!!!!! Gibbs got an awfully good look; and probably a "tired" Gibbs makes it 60% of the time..... Could easily argue we dodged a bullet!

1 point wins usually are bullet dodgers. Could argue that maybe he rushed it a little with Kyle "the blanket" closing in on him.

I was sitting directly across from where Gibbs took the shoot. He did hurry it a bit, because of Kyle closing and the shot clock, but his elevation and stroke was not smooth like earlier in the game.

I think it's time to eliminate this thread and start a new one with a more positive title. I kept telling you JC wasn't hopeless and to give him time to improve. That's not to say he won't screw up ever again, but so does everyone at times. He brings out the MOM in me, lol. I'm thinking, "C'mon, Sweetie! You can do it!"

He's had one 12 minute good performance and in the last game he didn't crap the bed. Hardly time to declare him an asset. He does not remotely compare with a good point guard in our conference. We need a 5th year.
Look at at his statistics and try to find a comparable train wreck. He's at or near negative efficiency for the year! I don't think there are many players in the a10 that can match that.

Everything in this world doesn't have to be positive. This thread and it's title are perfectly fine. People including myself have pointed out when JC was bad and then gave him credit the last two games when he has performed better. Everybody knows to post in this thread either way and it keeps this topic from taking over other threads.
We may need to make a safety pin emoji/avatar available at this rate.

I think it should be "last three games".
