#1 in KenPom's Defensive Turnover Percentage

Here is a sign that we have made the most of our early patsy schedule thus far on the defensive side of things. KenPom's site has a Turnover Percentage Defined Below. Our Flyers are currently #1 at 34.9%.

http://kenpom.com/factors.php?t=d&s=5

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Turnover percentage is a pace-independent measure of ball security.

TO% = TO / Possessions
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are also #7 for 2 point field goal % at 31.3%. Now, we need to keep it up against some of the bigger boys.

Ken Pom actually does good work as far as statistical analysis goes. This is a good find. It will be good to compare after the next 3 games.

Agreed.

Pomeroy also starts to forecast results of future games around the end of the non-conf season. He is almost always accurate within 2 wins.

The next three will really tell us what we have. Pomeroy Ratings: 64, 84, & 49 vs. 302, 330, & 339

Update

Well, we are no longer #1 in Turnover Pct., but we are #19 after playing a few tough games. 2-Point FG% dropped to #20, but our overall Defensive Raw Efficiency jumped to #3. KenPom's stats align very well with the common view of our team on this board: Our defensive prowess is winning us games.

The only offensive stats where we are even in the top 100 are Off. Rebounds and Steal Pct.

We are in the Top 50 in 8 defensive categories and Top 100 in 10 of them.
