Great Game

Dillard's two threes when the lead was cut to four saved the game for us

Parker and Williams played great and aggressive

Devin needs to stop dribbling through pressure

Josh played like a man tonight, he can have a great year and a half

Great game by CJ

i think home basket/rim may play a big part in these guys heads or games. Especially guys like Parker and CJ.

CJ was studly from the field. When i played each court is different as is each rim. However as the level of competition rises, those things get eliminated some. Just not totally.

Home court advantage.... Flyers!

seems as if the schedule bashing was unfounded. Both Seton Hall and Ole Miss are top25 RPI at the moment. Current SOS is 18

I still have trouble envisioning this team as an NCAA at-large team.

Just landed and sorry to say that I missed the entire game. Given this result, perhaps I should plan to be flying and miss every game. Where was this team the past two games? Frankly, as long as they continue to come together under Archie, I will forget Buffalo and Murray State and just keep looking forward to more of this.

It's a long season with many ups and downs for most teams, but we have 2 good wins under our belt with Minn and ALA. Hopefully, we can stay the course and win out the ooc and have a decent conference record-then we'll see where we are for tourney purposes.

Had we beat Buffalo, our RPI would be #8 at the moment.

I'm hoping for 20 wins, a top-4 finish in conference and an NIT berth. NCAA would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath.

Great win. Much better game. Shooting 60% does that. So does defending and rebounding which can keep you in games.

Agree with others, I don't see NCAAs in the cards. Would gladly be wrong.

We may not have much of a shot picking up an at large berth this year, but this team is very streaky. Who knows, they could play the way they did in Orlando and put together a string of wins to win the A10 tourney. But we are getting a little ahead of ourselves anyway, A10 play hasn't even started yet, and I'm going to savor this win for a while.

Speaking of this win, I missed the Buffalo game, were they that much better than us? Would we have beaten them if we played they way we did tonight against Alabama, or is Alabama just overrated and / or just a young team unprepared for their first road game of the season in an environment like the Arena?

Buffalo played zone against us for 40 minutes. They never played man. With that, we didn't do a good job of getting the ball inside, and when we did, we didn't do that well getting it into the bucket. (PaintPoints: Buffalo 28, UD 16) As well, we weren't hitting our outside shots (3ptrs - 26.1%), which should break a zone down.

Then, on the other side, they hit 3 pointers like they were 1 foot from the basket (43.5%).

Then they had a big lead, and since we weren't able to do much on defense to stop possessions, the only solution to cut into a lead is to heave 3 pointers. And we went 2-12 in the 2nd half from 3 point land.

We didn't play well. They played very well. We didn't hit shots. They hit most of their shots. And when the other teams scores more than you, you lose.
