Totally missed this game but really proud to hear they played hard and with confidence. Kudos Archie. This could be your defining moment as a young coach. Lead us to a positive finish and set the tone for a winning attitude in this program. We have a hell of a lot going for us when you look at the big picture with this program. The opportunity is there. Make us proud and get this team to the league tourney. Get some wins and flip this thing !!

I think GW and Charlotte are in trouble. I predict one of them doesn't make the tourney. Flyers could get as high as a 10 seed.

Nice observation, Joe. Maybe their pride is finally coming to the surface. I particularly liked the way JB pulled DP in after that sick facial and gave him the "arm around the shoulder 'Atta Boy'" treatment. That's how a 5th-year senior SHOULD handle a freshman who makes an outstanding play. Nice to see!

Flyers now within one game of St. Joe's, Charlotte, Bonnie and GW. We really needed this one.

Just got back from a run this morning and was shocked at the score. Where has the team that showed up tonight been since the Alabama game?

The 2nd half...
Just walked in from the double-OT UConn-Georgetown game....how the hell did the Flyers score 59 points in a half?

Am I getting giddy about squeaking into the A10 tourney?! This is either the end, or the sign of great things to come!! Please??

GW has a tough closing schedule, Charlotte is lost right now. UD is at home and has Khari back. Play your way in and see what happens. Richmond will be tough.

They could have gone either way. But the refs were kind of "mailing it in" tonight, both ways. Hartsock was dumbfounded at the end of the game when MD had the ball right in front of him & Dukes, he literally heard the Charlotte guys smack MD 3 times, and then the stripes called traveling on MD. Hartsock had a definite moment there.

It was not just you. The 2nd one was an especially poor call.

Despite being down at half, I thought defense was good in both halves. Did you notice that our perimeter players INCLUDING DILLARD were getting out aggressively on Charlotte? They were bouncing around on the balls of their feet rather than on their heels. I think the defense eventually frustrated Charlotte and wore them down mentally. Even when they scored, they worked hard for the points.
Once again, I loved what Scott gave us. He got more minutes and played a bit better than ever before. Just stop the hand-checking and use more of the core of his body and he will be able to defend without the fouls.

The 49er team of the 2nd half was not the 49er team from the 1st half. I'm not sure what the velcro-felt-hair-head coach said to them at halftime, but if I were him I'd throw that motivational speech in the trash...along with his hair....or is it paint?....mascara?....mold?

I'll take credit for reverse psychology!
That's okay, Glen...we all have 20/20 hindsight right? Go back and watch half #1 and tell me what you see out of Oliver. Not being doom-n-gloom, but we are where we are because our veterans aren't consistent over 40 mins!

Don't think there 's any question or even a coincidence that having Price back was the key. This team could probably have shot 44-46% and won based on on-the-ball pressure from him which also makes others better defenders and, more importantly, the ability to give KD some nice intervals of rest. Not to mention Price's ability to consistently knock down a big shot or two each game..

Does anyone know what the final technical foul was called for?

Not that I expect it to happen, but winning out could put UD at something like an 8 seed.
Part of talent and a good team is the ability to play consistently, something that has been sorely lacking for a number of years. So 8-8 seems a stretch.
But at the same time, the schedule was extremely front-end loaded, with nearly all of the last 6 games coming against teams 7 and lower in the standings.

The first one could've gone either way. Dyshawn was there in time but looked like he started to fall before there was contact. With my bias opinion though I believe it was a charge. The second one was definitely a charge. I just knew the refs weren't going to call them because the game was out of hand and because all of the calls were going against the home team leading up to those plays.
