We have a game to watch tomorrow. Forget all this C7, Big East c*^p.
Our game was 7:30 on Wednesday so while I was waitng I watched some of the Richmond - GW game. I hope that same Richmond teams that played in the first half against GW shows up in Dayton.
Go Flyers!

Let's see here:
-2 early fouls on Scott? CHECK
-Opposing big men getting position below the block on nearly every possession? CHECK
I see a repeating formula here

I don't think there's any doubt that if I was coaching at a mid-major I would run the offense Richmond is running. Everyone gets involved, it puts a ton of pressure on the other team, and no matter how good the opponent is they better come ready to play or you'll win by 20. Requires a high level of skill and passing big men.

Decent effort in the 1st half but we're lucky Richmond is playing like garbage. We better not expect them to come out like that in the second half.

Then you would enjoy watching the University of Denver play. They are never on tv, but there is a good chance they can make the tourney. They run this style of offense to perfection.

Not just the big men, everyone must be able to pass and your big men, at times, are not near the hoop.

"You can't leave Devin Oliver open for a 3-pt shot or he will drain it" says the announcer. I thought I'd never hear that.

Up to that point MD was in "pass and pick away" mode, he seems to just forget he can shoot some days. That one he just caught and shot. Don't hesitate Matt, SHOOT IT!

Why on earth would you push for more possessions with a small lead? Of course you hold the ball. Limit the other teams chances of scoring. Why would you rush to give Richmond more possessions? Hold the ball! Protect the lead!
Richmond is a three point shooting team, by holding the ball you give them less opportunity to shoot! Limit possessions and shorten the game!
Good job Flyers.

Great team win.
KD & DMO lead the way.
Jalen was HUGE in the final minutes.
Clutch FT's from the frosh, Khari & Dyshawn.
Let's win out and go into the tourney with some momentum.

Good job Flyers.

Freshmen
If I did the math right, 87 minutes were played by freshmen. There are only 200 minutes of playing time.
Pretty impressive, I think.

Freshmen with the last 12 points of the game during the last 3 minutes plus. Very impressive.

Scott was able to stay on the floor, Robinson grabbed key rebounds and got key points and Price played great D and knocked down free throws in crunch time.

Khari Price continues to exceed my expectations every game. He just has a way of doing everything that is required of him at the time. And think, he missed a lot of playing time and it seems he just came back and didn't miss a beat...another way he exceeds expectations.

That was the worst officiated game I have ever seen (perhaps an exaggeration but it has to be up there). I have seldom seen so many fouls called when a no call was appropriate. And it was both ways. It was the complete opposite of let them play. If you drove the ball the likelihood a foul would be called was exceptionally high.

anthonycharles--the elbow to Benson's jaw SHOULD have been a T. It was so blatant! But the way the refs were calling the game, we were lucky to get any foul called. So many bogus fouls called on Dayton--boggles the mind, but it happens a lot. Our guys were able to overcome the refs blunders and come away with a big win. The crowd's energy was great, as usual. I think we really helped the team today. I'm still keyed up and have been home for over two hours, lol.
