I read something where McKillop basically said he signed a kid from Ohio a couple years back and then another and then it sort of became a thing. Davidson has done very well with the talent they have pulled from Ohio. Also, Sullivan transferred in to the program. From Miami (OH) I believe...

Sounds like Kendall Pollard will play tonight, but Charles Cooke is now questionable with injury. Will find out soon if he'll play tonight.

That is not good! Plus obliques are one of those things that linger.

A significant oblique strain could last the rest of the year. If mild missed time might be short but play could be affected. Oblique injuries are very debilitating in athletics when there is twisting or turning of the trunk and spine.

Let's go Flyers, we need to win this.
Last January 20th, when we played at Davidson, we were embarrassed. Time for payback.

Horrific call -- he was at least a foot in the restricted circle.
That is a basket and fouls shot. Also shouldn't have foul on Pollard.
Rewound it, wasn't even close.

Gibbs totally jumped into Schoochie, not a foul either -- if anything, offensive foul.
But yes that was a foul on Big Steve, not moving his feet whatsoever ....

Darrell goes under a screen while guarding Gibbs. Gibbs nails a 3. That is completely inexcusable.

Dayton only +1 in possession (+4 in rebounds but -3 in turnovers). Need to dominate boards in next 24 minutes. Only 16-12 lead is inexcusable IMHO.

Pierre drives, gets hammered, block as both players in restricted circle and no call.
This crew has forgot about the restricted circle ... missed 2 easy ones.

Jack Gibbs is an awesome player -- 18 points in 1H.
I hate the flopping, simulating, and faking. Doesn't need to do it.

-1 possessions in 1H and that is the difference. Dayton only out-rebounding +3 20 to 17, but -4 turnovers with 6 to Davidson's 2.
Need to dominate the 2H boards by +8-10 and Dayton wins.

Our two top scorers are Scooch with 13 and Mikesell with 8. We are shooting 44% to Davidson's 38% and that surprised me. Gibbs is insane.

If they made a few of those wide open threes they would have more assists. If the don't make a higher percentage of open jump shots they will lose

We have six turnovers and have only turned over Davidson twice. Our defense is playing decent, but we need to get some turnovers and fast break points.
Mikesell playing great offense and decent defense, but he has no nose for rebounding.
We have to keep Gibbs off the free throw line.

That isn't the way the rule works. Help defense can't take a charge in the circle. Primary defender can.

You also don't have to be stationary. Defender has the right to space they are moving in. You can't angle off the offensive player. But you can retreat in your line and if the dribbler ribs you over it is a charge.

D Davis has got to get his shot going. Started 0-3 and now is 0-5. That kills us because all 5 were good shots.

Off subject- commercial break- that was really bad news about that Butler player they flashed up there. Last I'd heard he had beaten cancer...

Mikesell has got to throw that ball off of the defender when he is trapped and pushed, and he was pushed big time.

He just can't guard players with any quickness/athleticism at all. In the first half there were a couple of the Davidson subs that were slow enough for him to guard. He is going to have to get quicker somehow or he will only be able to play in certain matchups.

When was our last 19 - 0 run?
Last year, Davidson not only embarrassed us but we lost our ranking. A little revenge is sweet.

My wife left and went to bed and we went on that 19-0 run. I just told her, and she said I'm coming back to watch. I said, "no, you stay right where you are."

Gibbs with back to back 3's maybe its time to just faceguard and deny him for the last three minutes.

We have 3 pts in the last 4 minutes. We have to run the offense and get inside.

That flop by Gibbs on that last 3 attempt was embarrassing. You usually only see stuff that bad in soccer.

Hate to say this, but we may just need all of that 19 - 0 run in this game.
