BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -– As UD and the 7 other teams still alive in the Atlantic 10 Tournament (how ‘bout SBU and UMass?) head to Atlantic City to decide a Champion, I have to say that I really prefer the new format. What’s not to like? Reward the 4 best squads with a bye; give the next quartet the added bonus of an extra home game (and the revenue that comes with it); make the next 4 play on the road in order to earn a trip to Las Vegas on the Atlantic and send Fordham and whoever happens to be... DAYTON (OH) -- For the last seven seasons, I haven't looked forward to the 'stretch run'. No matter how hot the Dayton Flyers start the season, they cool their jets by late January and slump into the A10 Tournament on a bum wheel. I'm not suggesting that successes weren't accomplished along the way, but am I nonetheless saddled with frustration that hanging fruit ripe for the plucking continues to slip through Dayton's fingertips.

BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- I made the pilgrimage down I-75 to see the St. Louis game. Here are some of the sights, observations and people I talked to while I was there.
If you haven’t been back to Dayton in a while the massive road project at the juncture of Interstates 70 and 75 that took about 4 years is finally done.
