BEVERLY HILLS (MI) — Flyer Fans have had fun the past few weeks, following the exploits of UD’s four NBA hopefuls. Unfortunately for three of them — Devin Searcy in Philly; Chris Wright at Toronto and Chris Johnson with Orlando — “The Turk” (as he is known in NFL camps) paid them a recent visit with the bad news that they were among the final cuts. Only Brian Roberts of the New Orleans Hornets is guaranteed a spot on an opening night roster in The League. It will be interesting to see where DS, CW and CJ land, be it with another NBA team, the NBDL or overseas.

The Flyer Faithful will be able to see their former star guard play for real when the Hornets meet the Sixers on ESPN on Wednesday, November 7th in their third game of the season.

Meanwhile, the current UD roster was reduced to 10 scholarship players when senior captain Matt Kavanaugh was suspended by the University for the remainder of the academic year. The legal and social aspects of this case have been discussed ad nauseum elsewhere, so I’ll give it a rest here. Basketball-wise, here is what College Chalk Talk says the absence of MK in the Flyer lineup will mean to Archie and Company:
