BEVERLY HILLS (MI) — There is nothing more fun in this Flyer Fan’s Red and Blue eyes than waking up the day after a big UD victory and checking out the UD Pride Message Board. How many posts will there be? 60…70…80? Will one of the Flyer highlights be on ESPN’s “Top Ten Plays?” How much play will the V get in the national media?

You do recall the upset of then #11 Gonzaga don’t you?

Yeah, it might seem like a “Star Wars” victory — that it happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away– but it actually took place this season.

In the ebb and flow of a long University of Dayton Flyer basketball season, that was what we can most assuredly refer to as “the flow.”

And now in the aftermath of a game like VCU what do we do? I don’t know about you, but I cringe. How many posts will there be? 60…70…80? Will any of VCU’s highlights be on ESPN’s “Top Ten Plays?” Please, God, don’t let the national media pick up on that disaster of a game!

Right now, after the VCU debacle, we be ebbin’…big time.

The cure? Get back on the horse and start winning some ballgames!

Easier said than done.
