3 wins away from the Tourney, this is part 1... The Hawks survived a near crazy collapse tonight, they were up 68-47 with 3:45 left and nearly lost... We know they are talented so they will bring it, good news is they have Billy Lange.
Game is at 7:30 on Friday Night and will be on Peacock.
Starting Lineup:
G…11…Xzayvier Brown…6’2”…175…SO…Philadelphia, PA
G…2…Erik Reynolds II…6’2”…190…SR…Temple Hills, MD
F…5…Anthony Finkley…6’7”…230…SO…Philadelphia, PA
F…13…Rasheer Fleming…6’9”…240…JR…Camden, NJ
C…22…Justice Ajogbor…6’10”…260…GS…Benin City, Nigeria
Their big 3; Brown (A10 1st Team) 17 PPG 4.5 APG, Fleming (1st Team) 15.5 PPG 8.5 RPG and St Joe's all-time leading scorer Reynolds (2nd Team) 16.8 PPG, is the team so gotta try and limit them... Finkley has been solid since entering the starting lineup and he's a shooter at nearly 45% from deep.
We gotta take care of the ball and be physical with them on the glass as best as possible.
Get the job done and move on to Saturday... Go UD!
Las Vegas Insider has Dayton as the favorite over St. Joseph by 1.5, 2, or 2.5 points.
Bad feeling about this. We dont play defense and you need defense to win in the postseason. You'd think knowing how much is at stake and how we HAVE to win these games to punch a ticket that we'd come out and play our best basketball of the season. But we sort of are what we are which is a team of shaky D with major rebounding issues. That's hard to overcome. SJU put three players on the first two All A10 teams. They can definitely whip us.
We played Saint Joe earlier this year once, the game was at UD Arena. We were favored by 4.5. We won 77-72. The o/u was 142.5.

Today's o/u is 141.5.

Isaac will be in uniform and ready to play per Jabo
Need to guard against the 3 tonight
solid start, 10-5 UD 5 min in
Are you kidding me Posh
10 all at the U12
Apparently we are just going to turn it over on every possession.
16-14 SJU with 7:35 left
Yes, with the scrubs in the game
26-16 Hawks at the U4
No energy again
I wish Figgie was still around because I'd like to know out of our 32 games we've played how many of them we were down double digits in the first half. I'm guessing over 50%.
Welp! It’s been real.
Ugly so far
33-24 at the half
Whistles are swallowed. Just four fouls apiece in a physical game.
Well at least we have a blueprint for this. Go down big by being stagnant on both ends of the court. Then turn up the aggressiveness on D leading to better pace on O. Hopefully it works again. It's just a shame the staff can't figure that out.
Another shitty half
Amazing, Tim Mccormick and Matt McCall have both said if we are going to win we need to play faster. Weird that every announcer this year says that, yet our staff doesn't think so...until we have no choice, then we turn it up.
Shooting 8-30. Are you friggin serious????
Is there ANYONE who didn’t see that hit the rim?
