Loading threads is painfully slow and it loads the first page then loads the last page for long threads.

The time it takes to load a page is way too long. Also the first page of a thread loads then the final page, that doubles the already long load time and when you click the back arrow you go to the first page of the thread instead of back to the thread list.

Hmm not noticing any issues on my end. There is some latency on massive 500 reply threads but there are not many of those. You are on PC, tablet, or mobile?

The forum should always take you to the first unread post in your browsing history when you click the topic and not the post.

I am using safari on a mac or on an iphone. If I click on a multipage thread it goes to the first unread thread but it definitely is loading the first page for at least awhile, you see the thread starting comment and following commsnts plus you see that it is on page 1. Eventually it loads the last page. This behavior still occurs when I tried using Chrome on my mac. When I click the previous page arrow on safari it goes to the first page of the thread and then it goes to the last page. I have to click the back arrow twice to get it to return to the forum home page. This second problem doesn't happen when I use chrome.

Well also keep in mind the first post of very thread is repeated on every subsequent page of the topic so folks know what the original message and intent of the post was.  I've been using my desktop, laptop, and mobile version and Im not experiencing any appreciable latency except on the largest 2% of threads (many hundreds of replies).  You might want to delete your browse caching and load the pages again and see if that generates a different result.

How fast are non-forum pages loading like the home page or articles?

I will try deleting the cache and try non forum pages. But I want to say that it is definitely loading more than just the first post I can scroll down and see other page one posts before the final page appears.

I deleted the cache and all cookies. It is still pretty slow.  5-6 seconds of loading the first page then 5-6 seconds of loading the current page. Non forum pages are ok, they don't have the double loading problem but they are still 5-6 seconds

My experiences are identical to udee79-first page loads and then the page with the first unread comment loads; back button returns to the first page of the thread.

I'll have to inquire with the forum developer on this. Over my pay grade...
