Been following the bracketology stuff, a few still have UD as a very long shot for NCAA. However, more likely an invite comes from NIT (road games) or the new Vegas tourney (CBC) - TV event. Which one? Interest? Would anyone portal before it starts?
I would think with our history with the NIT we should accept an invite from them. Not sure we will, unless the seniors say they still want to play. I would guess if there are guys who are h**l bent on leaving they won't vote to play.
I'll always watch games that the Flyers are in. Obviously I would rather it be in the big dance, but I have always said if you are in the NIT you might as well be in it to win it.
Tap out. I know I won’t buy NIT tickets if there is a game here. Not for this team.
Some people like to inflict wounds on themselves ... what makes anyone (anyone?) think UD would be able to survive a road trip to anyplace USA (remember the Vandy game?)
I say let the season die away peacefully. Otherwise the same warts you saw game in and game out this season will be exposed again just one more time!
UGH!
POST SEASON MARCH MADNESS
More than not post season occasions in March known as MARCH MADNESS for Flyer Fans has a different context than the one normally affixed to that phrase!
That. Is. All.
I'm not an advocate of tapping out. I think it sends the wrong message. There were people upset when we tapped out the last time with reportedly legitimate injury reasons to do so.
Now, a sold out First Four and a half empty NIT home game would send a very strong message.
I would accept an invitation to the NIT. Looks bad to turn it down. Maybe they would put us up against Miami. By the way, AG was asked after the game if they would accept an NIT bid. His answer, "As far as I know, yeah."
With the first four at the arena, we'll probably get sent on the road for nit round 1. Like past years
take out probably
11 seed for VCU.... no respect for A10
Shunning the NIT again would be extremely embarrassing. Who the h**l do we think we are?
The NIT bracket is being released at 930pm tonight.
saw a list Flyers a 2 seed 6 A10 teams in the 32.
Dayton a 1-seed playing Florida Atlantic.
Looks like 7 p.m. Wednesday on ESPN2. On the road, of course.
Only #1 seed playing on the road. Wtf
Nice to see the ACC showing up to play. Interesting that we got the 1 over George Mason. Did they work straight from NET rankings?
Florida Atlantic is 18-15. No common opponents. They do have a couple of decent wins over Oklahoma State and Liberty. Their “arena” seats 2900. If Dayton wins, they’d host either Middle Tennessee State or Chattanooga in the second round. George Mason is on Dayton’s side of the bracket,
Here is the bracket...A10 teams: Dayton, GM, SLU, SBU, Loyola, and SJU.
The Final 4 is at Hinkle Fieldhouse at Butler University in Indianapolis.

BTW, 16 teams from the P4 and BE will be playing in Vegas. That's why they are not playing in the NIT.
Per this post, the Crown tournament bracket won't be released until tomorrow.
Do we hold the DI record for most #1 NIT seeds?
Moulaye Sissoko plays for the university of North Texas. They are in the NIT in the opposite bracket. They play Furman.
Koby Brea plays for Kentucky and they are in the NCAA. They play Troy.
Kobe Elvis plays for Oklahoma and they are in the NCAA. They play Connecticut.
George Washington is in the Crown. I don't understand that.
There is some uncertainty as to how the Crown will go, wait and see.
From my link in the previous post:
A source familiar with the tournament’s stipulations for participating teams told The Athletic that rosters would need a minimum of seven scholarship players available. But it’s possible teams that accepted invites could struggle to meet the minimum by the time the tournament begins. It’s unclear if there are alternate programs on standby.
The first thread worth following is whether any teams have to drop out.
The tournament covers a team’s cost of flights, local transportation, hotel, per diem and practice time for the traveling party. There will be an NIL component to the Crown as well, though sources familiar with the tournament said those details were still being worked out.
