The comment about 85-90 feet is something you don’t see in highlight clips. They tend to show the impact point. You don’t see the constant harassment all the way down the court that wears these players down so Tou can make his move and pick a ball, block a shot or take that charge. Tou-many buckets is also becoming known as Tou-menace.

Is Tou having a better year than Obi?
Their traditional stats (PPG, RPG, etc.) are similar, and Tou has a slight edge in most categories, but he gets about 13 more MPG than Obi, so Obi’s stats would probably be much better if he got the 33-34 MPG that Tou gets. But we know that it’s the advanced metrics (deflections, +/-, etc.) that give Tou his value to the Blazers.
All in all, you could at least say that the Blazers need Tou more than the Pacers need Obi. It pains me to throw shade at Obi (after the raw deal he got from the Knicks during his first 3 seasons), but Tou is making a difference for the Blazers.

I think I missed all of Tou's highlights because I tuned in for the 4th Qtr and he really struggled to defend or score in the last 12 minutes.
I suspected the video (above) was part of a publicity campaign. Very happy to see the Trailblazers promoting Toumani this way. He absolutely deserves DPOY.
