So first of all you know my stance - so grateful for what he did for the UD program and Shauna has continued the success. So with that said, I'm thrilled for him to "go home again." I know this will bring up all the bitter souls who will dredge up his departure again. Go ahead and vent you are entitled. All I'll say is it was quite bizarre but UD turned out fine.

I saw Jackson Jabir was recently added to the University of Hartford WBB staff.
https://www.hartfordhawks.com/news/2...px?path=wbball
Jabir joins Hartford as an assistant after spending a year in Denmark as the assistant basketball coach for the SISU Basketball Club. While in Denmark, he also served as head coach for five youth basketball teams ranging from age groups U13-U18, focusing on skill development and overall understanding of the game. Jabir's father Jim currently serves as the head coach of the Siena women's basketball program.
"Jackson developed a passion for the game and a keen eye for scouting, recruiting and loves player skill development," Hodgdon said. "He is creative, thoughtful, excited and enthusiastic about this opportunity, and I am so grateful he is joining us. He was a male practice player and captain with Dayton women's basketball. He led the scout team and helped Dayton get to two NCAA tournaments."

That's weird so what the NCAA would put them on probation for playing too many games or make them forfeit had they won? NCAA worry about more important things.

Lets see what the investigation brings. A couple of walk-ons that left the team this week are bringing the allegations. Generally the more talented you are the thicker skin you have to take criticism. It may be a couple of low-talent wallflowers or it might be legitimate. Lets wait and see.

Geez I don’t want to believe this happened . Unless there are witnesses it’s his word versus players also this supposedly happened in October and it comes out now?

Remember the allegations of abusing players verbally against former Dayton assistant Cameron Whitaker, coach at NKU, those charges were not substantiated and she's still the head coach.

I’m glad he’s reinstated after missing seven games bud I’m shocked he did make these comments

He is the main reason I gave UD women's basketball attendance a try. He came to UD the same season as BG and there was a Meet and Greet at the Arena where they were introduced. I went to see and hear BG, I left very interested in the humorous guy who was taking on the basically failing women's team. In the handshake line at the conclusion, he asked for us to just give it try.
From his seasons here I have several handwritten notes thanking me for a donation (not a big one) or volunteering to help with School Day, even one for making a trip to see them in a road game.
He is young to retire but he's been running around for a long time with a pacemaker and a defibrilator, so good for him. From an article:
“I never sit in practice, but this year I’d pull up a stool and Terry’s running around, doing his thing,” Jabir said. “I felt like I was stepping back naturally and he was stepping forward. I just felt like it was time. I don’t want to be feeling like I’m stealing salary, you know. I want to give it everything I have and if it’s not good enough, then it’s time to let somebody else do it.”
That decision became much easier when Jabir’s wife, Angie, who was Siena’s senior associate athletic director and senior woman administrator, got a job as executive associate athletics director at Stanford. Her final day at Siena was Monday. They’ll head to California with their 4-year-old son, Jude.
He put Dayton on the map and that was no easy task. Finalist for Naismith COY in 2013. I wish the very best for him and hope he gets many years with his youngest.
