there is this:
"Folks close to the basketball program have relayed that the tweets about joining the Orlando Invitational were never confirmed, indicating that the news of Georgetown joining the Wooden Invitational is the likely bet."

I have heard/seen some people around Drake's program saying they are going to be in this field.
Nothing official just a possible addition.
They have almost of all of last year's roster (all SRs using extra year) back plus some transfers and the Coach's son who is considered a top prospect. Only lost Yusufa a transfer to KU and he only started and was a factor after injuries to Roman Penn.
The Valley will be very strong this year so any possible games against Drake, Loyola, Mo State and UNI are good in an event like this or non-con schedule.

Sources: Kansas, Alabama, Miami, Dayton, Drake, Iona, Belmont, and North Texas will headline an Orlando based MTE next season in November.
Awesome 8-Team Field

Kansas, Bama and Drake should be very good. Iona has the Pitino factor. Belmont is always good. UNT was solid last year (finished 55 in the NET). Unsure about Miami.
Solid field with a good mix of big names and consistently solid programs.
What else do we have lined up for the non-con? @SMU is the only one I can think of.

My guess is UD starts with either Drake or Belmont in first round.

My guess at match-ups
Dayton vs. Belmont
Alabama vs. Iona
Other side of bracket:
Drake vs. Miami
KU vs North Texas
Possible story lines:
Grant vs. Alabama in Round 2
Drake vs. KU (Drake NCAA star transferred to KU) in Round 2
KU vs. Dayton rematch in final

UNT knocked off Purdue in round 1 of the NCAA tournament. It was spring break, so no students were on campus, but even considering that, there was a surprising lack of enthusiasm in the local bars in Denton, Texas.
