The Atlantic 10
is having a poor off-season. Loss of West Coast Conference challenge is big. The A-10 is slipping badly in prestige.

Not sure what you're getting at. First of all, the challenge is with the Mountain West, not the WCC. It was postponed last year due to covid, and now it is being reported it will not be played this year. I'm not sure it has been cancelled permanently. Even if it has I don't see how that causes us to lose any prestige. It wasn't that big of a deal. My understanding is that Neil wasn't too thrilled about it in the first place. He felt he could get games just as good or better on his own.

I agree with Longtimefan, we are better off IMO playing Ole Miss, Miss St and SMU.

We should take this challenge, in 2019-2020 we had zero good home ooc games, the year before that we had one. We just about have to do neutral and away to get anything good, anything that gets a good home game is worth it.
I like the certainty of this event too, nobody can back out at the last minute.
Why was this cancelled?

The challenge is good if you get matched up with a good team. If you do not, it is a waste of time.

Certainty isn't a word I would use to describe an event that never happened.

Dayton can get these games but can the rest of the conference? The OP said it hurts A10, not dayton
