2 biggest jobs open so far are MI St (Big 10) and Cincinnati (Big 12). Also saw the FGCU coach was just hired by UCF so FGCU is unofficially open. Dayton has played all these teams in the past. There will be more next week as coaches return from Convention/Final 4.
Congrats to Jamie. There aren’t a lot of men’s collegiate volleyball teams - like maybe 30-ish. And I think they all play in one division regardless of the size of the school, etc. I’ll have to research that to be for sure. But this would be a big opportunity on the men’s side. Their season is in the spring, so it’s heating up now.
Prior to 2012 - was one division. The sport has grown a lot. 3 Divisions now but DI and DII play for a singular championship. Changing that appears to be in the works. DI & II have 58 teams. Around 2012 DIII organized a separate championship and Wittenberg is DIII. 107 teams in this division. The sport has really grown in the last 10-15 years. I did not realize that.
