BEVERLY HILLS (MI) – Your #21 ranked University of Dayton Flyers hit the road this week for a pair of A-10 matchups. First off, they travel to Philly to face the LaSalle Explorers and then journey to Richmond to square off with the equally undefeated Spiders. The Red and Chapel Blue are on a roll and boast the reigning National Player of the Week.

I’m still not sure exactly how Deuce was NPOW but only Co-Player of the Week in the A-10, but there you go.

Dayton has gone two months without a loss and has climbed into the top 15 in NET:

This chart of major conference hoops attendance is revealing:

In case there was any doubt, UD is big time in this regard. After reading David Jablonski’s excellent book “The Epicenter of College Basketball” two things became abundantly clear.

1) The difference between UD and all of the other A-10 schools is that 55 years ago when the University had the chance, they gambled and built a 13,000+ seat arena.

2) UD had a visionary AD in Tom Frericks and the other 14 conference schools did not.
