“Today (Monday) I was anxious about practice. We were just coming off a bad loss, and I knew that today had to be an intense, competitive practice. We all knew that if we were going to be perfect or close to perfect it needed to be today, this week. This is a big week for us. We have a chance to prove something to ourselves and for our program. I think that for us to do well in the tournament a key component for us would be to have a good hard week of practice.”

“We already started preparing for the match today during our practice. We are starting to talk about Notre Dame’s tendencies as a team. They are one of the best blocking teams in the country, and as a hitter I have to understand what this means and what shots to hit. We have already set the standard as a team to not be intimidate by their ranking or simply the name on their jerseys. We have an identity for our team and it is to compete, no matter what. We will compete and work hard everyday this week as we have done all year and when game day comes, we will be the more prepared because of how hard we have worked.”

“Practice was good today. There was good energy in the gym, and everyone seemed excited to compete today. We were intense during drills, which made practice very enjoyable! I am so thrilled to be able to be a part of the NCAA tournament. I am always anxious to play but today more than usual. I have butterflies and a few nerves in my stomach, which I usually have before a big match. I have that feeling where I just want to play the game. I would play at any hour of the day if I could. I can’t wait to be in the gym warming up and having that feeling of pure excitement right when I step on the floor. It is the best feeling to have as an athlete. I love when we are out on the floor gathered in our circle ready to start the game. It’s the best feeling when you know you are about to leave it all out there. That is the only way I can know if I have given it my best, if I have left it on the floor. I can’t wait to give the Irish everything I’ve got!”
