BEVERLY HILLS (MI) — Just because one chooses not to personally participate in the Twitter phenomenon doesn’t mean that you can’t partake of it. Let’s face it, Twitter is basically just a blog with a 140 character limit that can be pushed out to “followers” or read by anyone like you or me, if you know where to find the tweets. And that is what this edition of “From the Swamp” will try to do — help you locate the Twitter account of someone in the world of college hoops in whom you might have some interest. Here we go:
Coaches
It’s intriguing to see how coaches use Twitter. Some just have the Athletic Department use it as a PR tool; some actually post their own tweets and most (like BG) are somewhere in between. Rather than posting a bunch of individual links, College Chalk Talk has conveniently created a page with most of the coaches of major programs included, all in one place:

Assistant Coach Jon Borovich: http://twitter.com/JonBorovich (relatively inactive)
(Assistant Coach Cornell Mann and Director of Basketball Operations Matt Farrell both have a Twitter account but their tweets are protected)

Recruiting
A lot of good info gets tweeted before it eventually makes it into a blog, post or column. Altho reading that 6’9” Jalen Reynolds from Livonia Stevenson (MI) HS was seen wearing a Xavier shirt in a summer league game (as tweeted by InsidePrepSports.com) is the kind of scoop I can do without.
