“I remember back in May thinking about the season and all the different team and individual goals I had. I never thought that the season would go by so fast though. With only a few weeks left in our season we are coming together as a team more and more each day. There are many reasons for this in my opinion.”

“First of all, our seniors are awesome. Bridget, Megan, and Sarah have been leaders both on and off the field the entire season. On the field they lead by example, whether it is sliding in the turf for a ball, or playing with different injuries and sicknesses, they are a positive influence to us all. Off the field they help keep everyone on the same page; we have meetings discussing team strategies and team goals all the time. Their expectations of us are clear and we do our best for them each day, not because we have too, but this senior class means a lot to everyone, and we want their final season to be a memorable one.”

“This team is also one of the closest teams I have ever been on. Not only are we teammates but we are all friends. We enjoy being around each other and are constantly having fun. This makes it easy to discuss any issues that might be on the team, because everyone knows that nothing said is meant to hurt someone else. We can give constructive criticism to each other, and take it because we know it is all for the good of the team. It’s also fun doing something that you love, with people that you care about and know care about you.”

“‘Whatever It Takes,’ is a phrase that we have lived by all season. It means that we must do what it takes to win. No matter the situation, we must overcome it so that we can give each game our best effort. What helps is that we are all on the same page and have the same goals for this season. We aren’t complacent and are constantly looking to get better. We know the type of team we can be and work together each day towards that.”

“Our goal for the next two weekends is to win our last four regular season games so that we can go into the A-10 tournament in first place. We want to end the regular season in first place, and end the tournament in first place so that we can get to the NCAA’s. This past weekend we discussed together what it would take to do this, and we are willing to give it our all!”
