Yes, she made a mistake. A very bad mistake. But that was d@mned near 40 years ago. When can someone be allowed to stop paying the price for a solitary indiscretion that happened nearly 4 decades earlier? Shouldn’t the 35+ years that she taught math to a generation and a half of high school students count at least a little bit toward atonement?

In my opinion, there's a big difference in forgiving a person for past indiscretions and immortalizing them for admiration.
